SOUNDTRACK
FOR THE MOVIE TIO'S GAME
The collaboration of Michael Petersen & Gibson Arlasky creates a raw
mood for the film. The two have been involved with the Chicago music scene
since the early 90's, and director Juan Buitron found a perfect fit when
he asked them to score the music for the film. In the original recording
sessions, they composed about forty songs, of which sixteen are represented
on the soundtrack. The motion picture also features music from Chicago's
very own Vodka Moxie and Alice Peacock (not on soundtrack).
Here's
what the critics are saying about this remarkable film:
"An impressive first feature by Chicago-born and
-based filmmaker Juan Carlos Buitrón."
- The Gene Siskel Film Center
"Buitrón's vision is evident
"
- The San Francisco Examiner
"Buitron creates a rising sense of dread
"
- The Chicago Reader
"This feature was made by a tremendously
talented multi-hyphenate."
- The San Francisco Digital Underground
